Question3:liberty --- countable noun / uncountable noun?
Results:when I key “liberty” in blank of the corpus of Collins, I obtain several usages of it as follow:
1.Those prisoners are dreaming of liberty.
这些囚犯们梦想着获得自由。
2.I took the liberty of reading the letter, even though it was addressed to you.
尽管这封信是写给你的,但是我冒昧地看过了。
3.I am afraid that I am not at liberty to discuss this matter.
对不起,我无权讨论这个问题。
4.He's hoping to take liberties with e-mail.
他希望能随意地使用电子邮件。
5.Liberty is from God, liberties from the devil.
自由是上帝赋予的,特权则是来自魔鬼。
From these usages of “liberty”, “liberty” is obviously countable noun.
Question4 :which prep can collocate with verb “lie” ?
Result: in, down, on, over, up
Question5: what is the relative expression of “take sanction to”? After searching in Collins ,it could be showed that all these words such “withdraw / embargo / impose sanctions against”could be used to express the meaning with “take sanction to”.
